Great News! We’ve added another Base Hazer Pro to our inventory. The Base Hazer is our favorite atmospheric tool. The combination of it’s great size (19” rack sleeve"), virtually silent fan and amazing output make this one of the best hazers of the market. It’s hard to keep these in stock because most of our tours are bringing two of them on the road. We also stock Base Hazer fluid if you need to purchase it for your Base Hazer when your playing in Asheville.
We just bought an Avolites Quartz lighting console with a Titan Mobile Wing! This is a great addition to our Avolites inventory, which includes Titan One and Titan Mobile consoles. The Quartz is a compact lighting console packed with great features including a 12” touch screen, 10 playback faders and 20 programmable macro buttons and is capable of outputting 16 DMX universes. We also purchased a Titan Mobile Wing which can expand this console to 30 playback faders and 50 programmable macro buttons! The wing can also be paired up with our Titan Mobile console for great portability and ease of use.
We are excited to have another lighting console in the Avolites Titan series. One benefit to sticking with the Titan series is scalability , we can load your show onto all of our consoles for consistent results. We also send a Titan One system to all of our shows to be used as back up lighting control.
Come check out our lighting consoles in our Capture programming suite. Book some time by the hour or the day with one of our lighting programmers, or come in and do it yourself!
We are happy to report that we have added a fleet of Martin Mac 101s to our inventory. These RGB moving head wash lights are small but pack a big punch. They are the perfect addition to your SL100 show - Fast, Bright and Affordable!
These guys are ready for rental or to add to your show package. Check out the pictures below
A while back we provided lighting for a summer reading PSA. The Final product is pretty cool and we wanted to share it with you. We’ve got lighting for all kinds of events and occasions including film and video. Check out the video:
We used Elation Six Pars, Robe Pointes a Base Hazer, Avolites Titan Mobile and a Lycian 1267 follow spot.
We are really excited about this purchase! We just picked up 8 Elation Platinum HFX moving lights. These lights pack a punch with their Platinum 14R lamp, they can rival the output of a standard 700 watt fixture, but using less than half the power. The HFX works great for a downstage wash or for upstage aerial effects. Check out the promo video below!

It seems like everyone needs rolling risers these days. We’ve had many calls this year looking for a local place to rent them. We finally pulled the trigger and bought some Staging Dimensions riser decks. We received them this week and they are already out on a show this weekend!
We can now do three 8x8 rolling risers at various heights. These also make a great 12’x16’ stage for your smaller events. We can always get more so check with us if you need a large stage!
We are proud to report that we are supplying lighting for the band Car Seat Headrest on their September tour. Asheville’s own John Foresman is the Lighting Designer for the band. When he is not on the road, John is also a Lighting Designer and Stage Manager at The Orange Peel. In fact, John met Car Seat Headrest when they came through town and played The Orange Peel, they hit it off and took him out on the road.
The tour is making stops in Toronto, Montreal, Boston, Brooklyn, Philly, DC, Atlanta, Louisville, St. Louis, Kansas City as well as Carrboro and here in Asheville at The Orange Peel on September 22nd.
We worked out the logistics to deliver the gear to the tours first stop in Minneapolis, Minnesota and will be picking up at their last stop in Kansas City, Missouri.
Here is a list of gear we provided for the tour:
Avolites Quartz lighting console
Martin Mac Auras
Elation Platinum HFXs
Check out these awesome shots from this tour:
We recently had the pleasure of sponsoring the Asheville Comedy Festival. We provided supplemental lighting at the Diana Wortham Theatre for this awesome event. We used Elation Six Par 200s and Martin Mac 101s.
Definitely a show to check out in the future!

Flashback to December of last year, We were happy to be a part of the Sierra Nevada employee holiday party. The event took place inside their amazing facility. It was spread through out multiple rooms and hallways. We hung Cafe Lights, used uplighting and pinspots. We also provided a stage and audio for the Jazz band. Employees enjoyed an amazing cheese buffet and, of course, free beer. We highlighted the cheese buffet with our wireless pinspots.
If you have a holiday party this year, give us a call. We can spice it up!
We had the pleasure of providing sound and lighting for a great show at a brand new amphitheater at Pilot Cove in Pisgah Forrest. Pilot Cove and Ecusta Brewing teamed up and put on a great show with Futurebirds. This new amphitheater is incredible! Surrounded by trees it feels like you are really deep in the forrest, but it is really close to town. Pilot Cove features luxury cabins and is a great place to have a wedding or event.
We brought out the V7P point source rig. Two V7p tops, two B22 subs and two E8 front fills. We mixed on a Behringer X32 rack with an iPad. Lighting was a lot of fun, we did some uplighting on the natural wood pillars holding up the roof. We also used lighting to feature the trees behind the stage. Check out some of the pictures below.
We had a blast at Hi-Wire's 5th Anniversary Party! We brought out an SL100 and Hi-Wire provided the ferris wheel! The circus atmosphere was in full swing including costumes and Carnival themed food from local vendors including Foothills Local Meats, Sunshine Sammies, and Kernel Mike’s Famous Kettle Corn.
Bands included Empire Strikes Brass, Porch 40 and The Diggs. We hung six d&b Y8/Y12 speakers per side with four B22 subs. We also used 16 Elation Six Par 200IP lighting fixtures.
Here are some pictures from the day
Last weekend was crazy busy! On Friday we had Downtown After 5, Asheville's favorite street festival. This year is the 30th anniversary of Downtown After 5 and features lots of local talent. Last week Town Mountain and Sanctum Scully took the stage. We provided an SL100 with a d&b Y line array. Eight per side Y8/Y12 boxes with four B22 subs. In the lighting world we brought an all LED rig consisting of our new Elation Six Par 200IP lights. Rain or shine these fixtures can light up the stage.
Later in the day we had a crew over at Sierra Nevada setting up another SL100 for Saturdays Beer Camp. Sierra Nevada describes Beer Camp as: "It’s an epic adult day camp like you’ve never seen before." They're not lying! There were lots of adult activities, including: rock climbing, ropes corses, cornhole, keg bowling and lots more. If you like games and drinking beer in the sun this was the place to be! Don't miss it next year. We provided the main stage and another d&b Y series line array with B22 subs. It was a day time show, so the lighting was minimal but our Mac 101s did a great job creating some mood on the stage.
Stage number 3 set up Saturday morning for the 2 day All Go West Festival. This is one of our favorites every year. Lots of great bands on stage and you get to bump into everyone that you know from around town. All Go West Festival is the perfect sized event for our d&b V7P point source rig. This compact system consists of one V7P main, one E8 down fill and one B22 sub per side (There was a reggae band on this festival so we added two d&b C7 subs) It is a very cost effective system that definitely packs a punch. We get lots of comments about how impressive the sound is for it's size. Lighting for All Go West is always fun. This year we used Elation Six par 200ip fixtures for the downstage wash. Upstage we had seven more Elation Six Pars and 9 Mac 101s.
We just took delivery of our new d&b audiotechnik line array! This has been a long time coming and represents a big step up for us. We're excited bring this amazing system to Western North Carolina.
